Big Dutchman completed a turnkey, vector-proof facility for Onderstepoort Biological Products, featuring a 70 m x 15 m building with positive ventilation and two Airprotec 20 000 units to filter and cool incoming air. The design met DAFF requirements and prioritised animal welfare. The facility was officially opened on 8 October 2024, with a presentation by Scott Wiggill and Mervyn Brown on the ventilation system.
Feeding solutions for finishing pigs include the PigNic dry feeder with easy feed adjustment and a hygienic trough to reduce wastage, plus a wean-to-finish feeder offering dry and wet feeding with drinking nipples accessible from both sides—supporting consistent intake, well-being and productivity.
