Big Dutchman Southern Africa is proud to have attended the Zimbabwe Poultry Association (ZPA) Annual Poultry Exhibition 2026, held from 7 to 9 May at the Thornpark Polo Field in Harare. As Zimbabwe’s premier annual gathering for the poultry industry, the ZPA Expo brought together farmers, equipment suppliers, feed manufacturers, financiers, innovators, and policymakers under one roof, and our team was honoured to be part of it.

Zimbabwe holds a special place in our regional strategy. We have long believed that with the right support and technology, Zimbabwe can reclaim its position as a food production powerhouse – not only meeting local demand for poultry and eggs, but in time producing for export markets across the continent. Events like the ZPA Expo are exactly where that vision takes shape, through real conversations with the farmers driving the industry forward.

“The ZPA Exhibition gives us the opportunity to engage directly with Zimbabwean producers and understand the specific challenges they face. Our goal is always to bring farming solutions that are genuinely suited to the local environment – not just world-class technology, but technology that works in Zimbabwe.”

Connecting with producers and partners

The three-day event provided a valuable platform for our Zimbabwe team to reconnect with existing clients, meet new producers exploring investment in modern housing and equipment, and strengthen relationships with industry partners across the region. Conversations ranged from large-scale layer and broiler projects to smaller startup operations looking to scale efficiently and sustainably.

Visitors to the Big Dutchman stand had the opportunity to learn more about our full range of poultry and pig farming solutions — from advanced climate control and automated feeding systems to purpose-built turnkey house designs engineered to perform in the Zimbabwean environment. On display were examples of our pan feeding and nipple drinking systems, alongside broiler house building illustrations and equipment overviews, giving visitors a tangible sense of what a Big Dutchman-equipped house looks like from the ground up.

Our team was on hand throughout the three days to discuss projects, products and farming solutions tailored to Zimbabwe.

Big Dutchman Southern Africa has been active in Zimbabwe for many years, supplying and supporting pig, poultry, and egg production projects of all sizes. From ongoing layer house developments to broiler equipment installations, our presence in Zimbabwe goes beyond equipment supply, we offer after-sales support, spare parts availability, and local expertise to ensure farmers get the most out of their investment over the long term.

We are deeply grateful to the Zimbabwe Poultry Association for hosting another outstanding expo and for creating a platform where the industry can come together, share knowledge, and drive the sector forward. It is exactly these kinds of events that move the needle for food security across the region and we are proud to play our part.
