Big Dutchman Southern Africa worked with one of the largest poultry farmers in Mozambique to provide turnkey poultry houses. There were several phases to this impressive Big Dutchman Southern Africa farm development project.
Phase 1: Design
The Big Dutchman Southern Africa team worked with our client to ensure that the buildings were designed with the rest of the farm logistics in mind. This includes delivery and pick up, bio-security, hygiene, feed, water, energy provision and much more.
The Big Dutchman Southern Africa team ensured a turnkey solution for our client so that these new buildings would work perfectly with current poultry production buildings as well as farm development conceptualisation for the future.
Phase 2: Building Foundation
The Big Dutchman Southern Africa building team implemented our unique building process which ensures better hygiene from the beginning of the building project, by laying the foundation of the building first. This process helps to ensure that the rest of the building material is kept as clean as possible as it is built on top of concrete rather than lying dust and mud before being erected.
Phase 3: Building Completion
The completion of the poultry production house shell is always an exciting day and with the Big Dutchman Southern Africa teams fastidious attention to detail, every aspect of the house is carefully planned and implemented. Key elements of the build include insulation and an easy to clean structure for the ultimate in building hygiene.
Phase 4: Feed Mills
One of the most important aspects of any poultry production farm is the access to hygienically stored feed. The Big Dutchman Feed Mills installed on this poultry production farm ensure that the feed available to the birds is kept in a sealed feed mill with automated distribution within the house.
Phase 5: Big Dutchman Poultry Equipment Implementation
One of the final aspects of this exciting turnkey building project was the fitting of the house with the Big Dutchman poultry rearing equipment. From feed to water to hygiene, ventilation and lighting, the Big Dutchman equipment provides the highest quality of poultry rearing equipment.
Phase 6: Efficient Poultry Farming in Action
There is nothing more satisfying for our team than seeing the hard work of a turnkey building project, in action. With day old chicks placed in the houses, this large poultry farmer can rest assured that their chicks are in the best possible environment for bird health and poultry productivity.
